A recent health study revealed the great benefits of eating breakfast before 8 am.

This study, conducted by researchers at the Barcelona Institute for Global Health, said that eating breakfast after 9:00 am increased the risk of developing type 2 diabetes by 59%, compared to those who ate breakfast before 8:00 am. According to the researcher at the Spanish Institute and the leader of the study, Ana Palomar Cruz, "breakfast time plays an important role in regulating the daily regimen and monitoring glucose and lipids, but few studies have looked at the relationship between eating or fasting time and type 2 diabetes."
The study is based on interviews with 100,000 participants who recorded what they ate and drank in a 24-hour period over three consecutive days, as well as those meal times. A total of 963 new cases of type 2 diabetes were diagnosed during the study, and the risk of developing the disease was significantly higher among those who ate breakfast after 9 am.
Cross summarized the results of the study published in the International Journal of Epidemiology, saying, "Our results show that eating the first meal before 8:00 am and the last meal before 7:00 pm can help reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes." And other foods?
• Researchers also say that eating late (after 10 pm) appears to increase the risk of developing diabetes.
• Eating more frequently (about five times a day) is associated with less disease. • Fasting for extended periods is beneficial if the diet includes an early breakfast (before 8 am) and the first dinner.
